At the same time, Hajiyev reminded that the work on the text of the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan has been completed.
De facto peace reigns in the South Caucasus region, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told Iranian Tasnim News Agency, EDnews informs.
"The positive fact is that [the work on agreeing on] the text of the peace treaty has been completed. But at the same time, there are open issues in bilateral relations with Armenia. We believe that Armenia should put an end to all territorial claims against Azerbaijan on a constitutional basis so that we can achieve sustainable, final peace in the region," the presidential assistant said.He noted that favorable conditions for peace have been formed in the South Caucasus region.
