Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will open the Uzbekistan Park in Baku as part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, his press secretary Sherzod Asadov said on social networks, EDnews reports.
"President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has begun a state visit to Azerbaijan. As part of the visit, our head of state will visit the cities of Baku, Khankandi, Shusha and Aghdam," Asadov said.
According to him, today in Baku, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will hold the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, as well as lay the foundation stone of the Uzbekistan Park and open the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku.
"Tomorrow, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev will continue their talks in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, where they will visit the joint garment factory in Khankandi and the Imarat historical and architectural complex in the city of Aghdam. A large package of agreements on industrial cooperation has been formed in preparation for the visit," he added.
