The US supports the efforts of Azerbaijan and Armenia to advance peace, US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said at a press briefing in response to a question about the meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which took place on July 10 in Abu Dhabi, EDnews reports.
"First, regarding the peace process, the United States supports those efforts to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus. We also are tracking the referenced press reports in general and don’t have any additional information to share. But as you know also, I think the Trump Administration and Secretary Rubio’s approach speaks for itself, and his remarks at the cabinet meeting is that this is an administration working for peace. They will do what and go wherever they need to go. It has not waned. It is because it is the core of the commitment to making America great again is improving, of course, the condition of the world around us," she noted.
