Units of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) are continuing round-the-clock operations to deal with the intense rainfall in several parts of the country.
According to the agency, emergency personnel are currently carrying out water pumping operations, assisting residents and evacuating citizens in need of help.
Response efforts are underway in several areas, including the Nizami, Sabunchu and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as Sumgayit, the Absheron district, and the Khachmaz district.
The ministry said necessary measures are being taken to ensure public safety as weather-related disruptions continue to affect parts of the country.
No further details were immediately provided on the number of evacuations or the scale of material damage.
