On June 3, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) under the State Tourism Agency, together with 10 local industry representatives, participated in the China–Azerbaijan Tourism Dialogue, EDnews reports, citing the agency.
The event was organized by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation, and the World Tourism Alliance. Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities were presented during the dialogue.
The meeting brought together representatives of public and private tourism institutions from both countries, officials of international organizations, and leading industry experts.
On May 29, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board officially opened its representative office in Beijing to expand cooperation with China's tourism industry, raise awareness of Azerbaijan's tourism products and unique opportunities, and strengthen promotional activities in the Chinese market.
In January–April of 2026, the number of visitors from China to Azerbaijan increased by 9.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching 14,303 people.
