Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked Azerbaijan for its support, EDnews reports.
Speaking on July 7 at the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum in Ankara, Zelenskyy said Ukraine currently possesses the world's largest drone potential and invites partners to develop cooperation through the Drone Deal initiative.
He noted that the initiative encompasses not only the procurement of drones but also joint production, rapid deployment of technology, protection of critical infrastructure, and security cooperation.
He said that he would like to thank every leader of the country, every company that cooperates with Ukraine in the defense sector.
He noted that the European Union, Türkiye, NATO countries, as well as countries like Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf states are Ukraine's strong partners, expressing hope that the cooperation will provide the countries with reliable protection from threats.
It was earlier noted that on April 25 in Gabala, Azerbaijani and Ukrainian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed developing cooperation in the military-industrial complex. The parties noted the significant potential for joint production both in the defense industry and in the industrial sector overall. Furthermore, they discussed possible cooperation in developing counter-drone systems and exchanging experience in this area.
