An event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Berlin, organized by the Embassy of our country in Germany.The diplomat said that the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, selflessly saved his native people and state from the threat of civil war, disintegration and loss of independence at a fateful moment, and led our country to the path of stability, prosperity and progress.

“EDnews” reports that the event titled “The Founder of the Modern Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Leader of the Azerbaijani People” was attended by high-ranking representatives of the German Foreign Ministry and other government agencies, ambassadors of foreign countries, scientists,as well as members of Azerbaijani, Turkish and other communities living in Germany.

Speaking at the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Nasimi Agayev spoke about the unparalleled services of the National Leader to our people and state. 

It was noted that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev defined ensuring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as the main priority of the national statehood strategy, and this goal constituted the main goal of all his political activities. This sacred and supreme goal has become a reality under the resolute leadership of the worthy successor of our National Leader, President Ilham Aliyev, and Azerbaijan has fulfilled the will of the Great Leader by fully restoring its territorial integrity.

Noting that today, mighty Azerbaijan is highly respected in the world, the diplomat said that the political line and development strategy determined by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev are the basis of these successes. It was especially emphasized that the ideas of the National Leader still live today, have become a spiritual value uniting the Azerbaijani people and serve the comprehensive development of the country.

Speaking about the role of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment and development of relations between Germany and Azerbaijan, N. Agayev emphasized that the great personality attached great importance to bilateral relations, as a result of which our relations are constantly developing on an upward trajectory.

Then, the soloist of the Rhine State Opera of Germany, Marziya Huseynova, pianist Narmin Najafli and German musicians performed a concert program. The concert featured famous works by prominent Azerbaijani and European composers.

Within the framework of the event, the participants got acquainted with publications related to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan.Finally, the participants of the event were presented with delicious samples of Azerbaijani national cuisine.
