Russian Foreign Ministry's Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused ambassadors from Western countries of meddling in Moscow's internal affairs after the envoys from the European Union countries refused to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
"They devote all their time, I mean the Western part of the ambassadors, the ambassadors of Western countries, NATO, to only one thing. I’m not talking about everyone but about this 'engine'. They are engaged, firstly, in interfering in the internal affairs of our country. Secondly - literally performances, which also involve interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation," Zakharova told the Soloviev Live TV channel.
Furthermore, she warned that German journalists would be expelled from Russia if Berlin authorities continued to put pressure on Russian correspondents after Russian media released the German officials' leaked plan regarding the attack on the Crimean Bridge.
