President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama has congratulated President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his resounding victory in the snap presidential election.

According to EDnews the Azerbaijani leader congratulated the Albanian Prime Minister on the victory of the Socialist Party, led by him, in the parliamentary elections.

"Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

I sincerely congratulate you on the victory of the Socialist Party of Albania, which you lead in the parliamentary elections held in your country.

This new success of the party you lead is an expression of high appreciation for the national policy and multifaceted activities you have implemented for the welfare of Albania, and a clear manifestation of the trust and support of your people in you.

The level of interstate relations and cooperation developing in the spirit of mutual respect and trust between Azerbaijan and Albania is gratifying. I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to further strengthen the friendly relations that unite our countries and peoples and to successfully continue our mutually beneficial cooperation on both a bilateral and multilateral basis''.
