Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are actively developing interparliamentary cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.EDnews informs that Nizami Safarov, a deputy of the Milli Majlis, head of the Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations with Kazakhstan, said this at the IV meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council.
''This work is ongoing, and I very much hope that in the future we will be able to effectively cooperate with our Kazakh colleagues in a bilateral format," he noted.
The deputy recalled that more than 40 international legal documents have been signed between Baku and Astana, including a declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership.Nizami Safarov emphasized that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan should develop a common strategy for combating crime.
"To counter modern threats, it is necessary to exchange experience and strengthen interparliamentary cooperation," Nizami Safarov said.
