Preparations are underway for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan and Nepal. President Paudel, in turn, expressed his satisfaction with the new development in the relations between the two countries during the meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu.
“EDnews” reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, who was received by Nepalese President Ramchandra Paudel on May 2.
He emphasized that President Paudel's visit to Azerbaijan in November last year within the framework of COP29 added a new dimension to the relations between the two countries.
The President of Nepal stressed the importance of identifying areas of cooperation between the two countries for broader cooperation in the future.Recalling that he represented Nepal at the COP29 conference to be held in Azerbaijan in November 2024, the head of state expressed his confidence that the relations between Nepal and Azerbaijan will further strengthen in the future. It should be noted that Elnur Mammadov has been on a visit to Nepal since April 30. In this context, the first political consultations between the two countries were held that day.
