A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

“EDnews” reports that the purpose of signing the document is to promote multicultural values, implement joint projects in the field of education and culture, as well as strengthen dialogue and mutual understanding in the Islamic world.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BIMC Executive Director Ravan Hasanov provided detailed information about the Center’s activities. Speaking about the role played by the Center in promoting Azerbaijan’s state policy based on multicultural values ​​at the international level, Ravan Hasanov said: “The signed memorandum shows that cooperation between BIMC and ICESCO has entered a new stage. We believe that through this cooperation, we will jointly contribute to the promotion of cultural diversity and mutual understanding in the Islamic world. We will also achieve the promotion of multicultural values ​​in a wider geography through joint projects, scientific research and programs aimed at youth.”

The Executive Director emphasized that such international cooperation plays a special role in recognizing Azerbaijan's multiculturalism model as an exemplary experience and lays the foundation for larger-scale initiatives in the future.

Speaking about the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding, ICESCO's Head of Partnership and International Cooperation Sector Anar Karimov expressed his confidence that the established partnership will yield significant results in the future: "This cooperation is not only between the two organizations, but also part of global efforts aimed at promoting cultural diversity, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in the Islamic world. We, as ICESCO, evaluate Azerbaijan as an important partner in the field of multiculturalism. We believe that the projects we will implement together with the Baku International Multiculturalism Center will have a significant impact both in the region and internationally."

Anar Karimov noted that this cooperation is of strategic importance in terms of strengthening dialogue and cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture, which are the main mission of ICESCO.
