The Azerbaijani media began to fulfill its own security functions only after the country gained independence, and in the current historical conditions, the foundations of independent media organizations were laid.He noted that in this regard, the publication of censorship in Azerbaijan by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev created conditions that gave new impetus to the expansion of pluralism and the development of journalism.
EDnews informs that this was stated by the Executive Director of the Development Agency, Ahmad Ismayilov, in his opening speech at the 2nd Forum “Public Danger in the Media”.
As the management of the Agency, the development of information information in the form of the development of the Media Development Agency, which is responsible for creating the platform “Public Potential in the Media”, is to support the establishment of relations between media entities responsible for developing and implementing information and state bodies that perform the functions of authoritative information resources. At the same time, this includes further increasing the high level in the preparation of public and journalistic content.
A. Ismayilov recalled that this year the Azerbaijani national press, which has gone through a glorious path of development in history, is celebrating its 150th anniversary:
“Ekinchi, which started publishing in 1875 in connection with the enlightener and publicist Hasan bey Zardabi, has united progressive-minded intellectuals around it during its nearly two-year period of activity, published articles on the development of science, education, culture, art and agriculture, and fought for the cultural progress of the people.”
The executive director said that “Ekinchi”, distinguished by its enlightening characteristics, has risen to an educational level that embodies new creative principles such as the modernization of the national press, ideological purity, promotion of national products, demonstration of literary language, and objective coverage of event.
