For the first time in the history of judo, an Azerbaijani referee has been appointed to the senior world championship.
EDnews informs, citing the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF).
Nazim Umbayev, a member of the AJF refereeing board and an international referee of category A, will be among the referees to officiate at the world championship to be held in the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
The world championship will take place between June 13-20.
