A number of important forums were organized before the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit in Azerbaijan's Lachin, according to the story of the Turkish Haber Global TV channel, dedicated to the ECO summit in Lachin and the 6th ECO business forum in the city of Shusha, EDnews reports.
It is noted that Azerbaijan is hosting important forums on the eve of the 17th ECO summit. The main goal is to strengthen cooperation between the member countries of the organization in all areas. After the ECO Youth Forum held in Aghdam, Lachin hosted the ECO Women's Forum.
Deputy ministers, deputies and representatives of international organizations from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan took part in the panel discussions. The forum discussed strengthening the participation of women in all areas of activity. It is also indicated that more than 170 entrepreneurs from 10 countries took part in the business forum held in the city of Shusha.
The event aims to expand trade and investment opportunities between ECO member states. The delegation from Türkiye was particularly active. The 17th ECO summit will be held in Khankandi on July 4. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to attend the event.
