The state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the People's Republic of China marked the signing of documents on the establishment of a comprehensive strategy between the two countries, and the qualitatively new implementation of existing relations.

EDnews report that, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in 2018  Azerbaijan contacted China to establish strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and China.

When we pay attention to the latest document, we are already witnessing the deepening of relations between the two documents in a short time. Unlike the information about the establishment of the last strategic strategy, a number of points are noteworthy in this document signed on April 23. So, when signing, Azerbaijan and China control over the territory and sovereignty, and the presence in the latest document is a confirmation of a logical decision to protect sovereignty, security and territory. In my opinion, this is one of the most important points in the Joint Statement.According to this opinion, Nagi Ahmadov, an expert from the Center for the Analysis of International Relations, said.

The expert noted that other points that attract attention on the side are related to the parties of Azerbaijan China, namely, the ruling party of the Communist Party of China and its party. Thus, the exchange and establishment of agreements for the years that have arisen. Support was expressed for the assistance of political dialogue between the current ruling parties. This is also an important issue from a political point of view.

“This time, Azerbaijan and China are working in international and regional organizations, as well as in legislative bodies and regional organizations. The document touches upon the joint efforts to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism.

According to the expert, in the signed document we witness the meaningful development of the development strategies and future visions of the two countries: “When we pay attention to the document, we see that the two countries are interested in the fields of trade, green energy and digital economy. It is possible to implement not only economic and trade cooperation between China and Azerbaijan, but also in the fields of culture, tourism and people's diplomacy. 

Naghi Ahmadov said that after the signing of a joint agreement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategy, Azerbaijan and China will develop more as a whole. Here, two managements are needed. In addition, it helps to sign free trade agreements on the development of trade and investment between the two countries. In my opinion, Azerbaijan will develop in energy issues, international transit cargo transportation between China.
