The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will hold its first Women Forum.
EDnews reports that the event will take place in Lachin, Azerbaijan, on July 2, as part of the ECO Week, at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev.
The main objective of the forum is to promote cross-sectoral cooperation among the ECO countries to enhance women's opportunities in all areas of human development, as well as to highlight and strengthen the role of women in the formation of sustainable, inclusive and resilient societies throughout the ECO region.
The forum will discuss the role of women in human development for climate sustainability, increasing opportunities for girls and women through education, digital inclusion: innovations and exchange of experiences, and other topics.
The forum will also serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and exchange of experiences among female leaders from the ECO region and relevant international partner organizations.
