Canada ‘deeply concerned’ about renewed hostilities

Canada’s Foreign Ministry has expressed concern about the resumption of conflict between Iran and Israel, saying it jeopardises the ongoing negotiations and “the prospects for peace”.

“We call on both parties to exercise maximum restraint, de-escalate tensions, and protect civilians,” Global Affairs Canada said in a statement shared on social media.

“The ceasefire must be respected. A durable diplomatic solution is essential to resolving this crisis and advancing lasting peace, regional stability, and global economic security.”
