The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, congratulated the personnel of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the occasion of the Ramadan holiday.
The message reads:
“Dear officers, comrades in arms, non-commissioned officers, cadets, sergeants, soldiers, sailors, civil servants, and civilian employees!
I sincerely congratulate you on the holy Ramadan holiday, which symbolizes the spiritual unity, solidarity, and equality of the Muslim world, and wish you success in your honorable service.
In our country, where Islamic values are upheld, the Ramadan holiday, celebrated annually at the state level as a nationwide holiday, strengthens equality and unity among people, embodies the celebration of national and spiritual values, kindness, and humanism in our society.
During the leadership of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani ideology and the protection of our national and spiritual values were prioritized in the state’s construction policies. Under the leadership of the great leader’s worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev, the successful domestic and foreign policies, decisive steps taken, and numerous large-scale projects initiated by the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, the economic foundations of our state have been strengthened, the promotion of our national and spiritual values on an international scale has been realized, and Azerbaijan has achieved significant success in the process of democratic state-building, ensuring greater global recognition of our values.
The great achievements in increasing the defense power of our country, as well as the large-scale reforms in the army, modernization of social infrastructure, improvement of the service conditions of military personnel, training exercises, and successful counteroffensive operations against extensive provocations by the enemy have further strengthened the morale of the personnel, and as a result, 2020 is written in our history as the Year of Victory. In the anti-terrorist operation carried out in the Karabakh economic region on September 19-20, 2023, the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored.
In the liberated territories, where our glorious flag proudly flies, our victorious army continues to guard our homeland with vigilance and plays a significant role in the highest-level implementation of restoration and reconstruction works and the Great Return.
We continue to honor and respect the memory of our martyrs who died for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. As always, during the Ramadan holiday, we commemorate their sacrifice with deep respect. Thanks to the high attention and care of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, significant steps are being taken to improve the social and living conditions of the families of martyrs and to address their concerns. I congratulate the families of martyrs, those who have lost their health in the struggle for the homeland, and our esteemed veterans on this holiday and extend my best wishes to them. I hope that the arrival of this sacred Ramadan holiday will bring prosperity, happiness, and abundant blessings to our people and to our tables.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate each of you on the occasion of Ramadan and wish you good health, long life, and success in your honorable service for the independence of our homeland, Azerbaijan.
