To ensure that the liberated territories of Azerbaijan are turned into safe areas, measures are being continued by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Azerbaijan, according to MIA, Ednews reports.
After the Patriotic War and anti-terror operations, MIA employees are professionally carrying out the tasks assigned to them to accelerate the Great Return process and ensure reliable security.
The process of detecting and neutralizing war remnants and sources of danger is being carried out continuously. Clearing the region of weapons, ammunition, and explosives is one of the main activities of the internal affairs agencies involved in the service.
As part of the measures carried out, between July 13-19, police officers discovered and seized 25 automatic weapons, 6 rifles, 17 grenades, 11 detonators, 39 cartridge clips, 1965 cartridges of various calibers, 3 bayonets, and other ammunition in the territory of Khankandi city; 1 pistol, 2 cartridge clips, and 16 cartridges in the territory of Shusha city; and 1 automatic weapon, 1 machine gun, 1 rifle, and 200 cartridges of various calibers in the territory of Kalbajar district.
