The significance of historical sources in exposing Armenian falsifications and fabrications was underscored by Aziz Alakbarli, Chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community, during the conference titled “Ancient Texts and Classical Sources Expose Armenian Frauds and Fictions or What the Lands of Western Azerbaijan Are Telling About.” The event, held on April 23, 2024, in Baku, was organized by the Intellectual Property Agency and the Western Azerbaijan Community in observance of World Book and Copyright Day.
Alakbarli emphasized that Armenians have consistently attempted to persuade the international community of their narratives. He stated that it is essential to first dispel these fabrications from public consciousness before presenting the truth, highlighting the crucial role of historical sources in this endeavor.
He also noted the ongoing efforts related to the return to Western Azerbaijan, asserting that this issue concerns not only Western Azerbaijanis but also the broader Azerbaijani population. The Western Azerbaijan Community is actively working to ensure the peaceful and dignified return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia, based on international law and historical facts.
The conference brought together scholars, officials, and community representatives to discuss the importance of ancient texts and classical sources in countering Armenian historical narratives and to reaffirm the commitment to restoring historical justice.
