Representatives from the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) recently conducted a business visit to the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

According to Ednews, IEPF Vice President Oguz Mirzayev and IEPF Human Resources Specialist Heydar Rzayev actively engaged in a series of conferences at the UN headquarters, exchanging perspectives on current global issues.

During the visit, the IEPF delegation had a pivotal meeting with Mr. Wook-Jin Chang, the head of the UN NGO Branch. Discussions centered on fostering humanitarian efforts, promoting peace initiatives, strengthening partnerships, and expanding cooperation between the two entities.

Among the topics addressed was the strategic enhancement of Azerbaijani NGO representation and integration within the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Proposals were made to conduct online sessions aimed at guiding local NGOs in Azerbaijan on the process of obtaining UN ECOSOC status.

Another crucial point of discussion revolved around the submission of four-year reports by the Azerbaijan-based organization, IEPF, to the UN. The meeting concluded with the acceptance of Mr. Wook-Jin Chang's invitation for a visit to Azerbaijan, extended by the IEPF delegation.
