Azerbaijan and Nepal have opened a new page in diplomatic relations by holding political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu.

The consultations were held with the assistance of Assistant Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov.The Nepalese delegation was welcomed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai. The sides expressed their commitment to deepening ties between Nepal and Azerbaijan.
The main topics of discussion were the development of bilateral relations and investment, tourism and cultural exchange, development in the field of education, joint projects in the fight against climate change.The institutions discussed the areas of potential for cooperation in the field of "residence operations" and energy on regional and international platforms.
The parties agreed on best practices in the development of "green energy" and potential opportunities for joint projects in the field of renewable energy, solar and wind energy.During the consultations, special attention was paid to the issues of regulating procedures for investments and organizing business forums of both countries.
According to the Nepali media, during the visit, Elnur Mammadov will meet with Nepalese officials, including President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Sharma Oli.
He will participate in a round table with the Nepal Investment Council. The event will be dedicated to studying investment opportunities between the two countries.E. Mammadov will speak at a special event with diplomats, his foreign policy department, related to his activities.The delegation's visit to Nepal will end on Saturday.
