President of AZAL Meets with Saudi Ambassador to Discuss Strengthening Aviation Cooperation President of “Azerbaijan Airlines”, Samir Rzayev, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan, Issam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, to discuss the enhancement of bilateral cooperation and partnership in the field of air transport.
According to EDnews, during the meeting, the two sides had an extensive discussion on the prospects for developing air connections between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. They emphasized the importance of increasing passenger flow and further strengthening aviation sector partnerships. It was noted that closer cooperation in this area would positively contribute to the development of tourism and economic relations between the two countries.
In this context, it was highlighted that in the past year, 94,300 tourists from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited Azerbaijan a figure that reflects the growing cooperation and mutual interest between the two nations.Currently, AZAL operates flights on the Baku-Dammam-Baku route twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays — and on the Baku-Riyadh route three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.The meeting underlined the strengthening of air connections and the expansion of mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
