The 4th annual meeting of the heads of the Space Agencies and relevant institutions of the member countries of the Turkic States Organization is being held in Baku today, hosted by the Space Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport .
"EDnews" reports that , this strategic meeting aims to strengthen the mutual relations of the Turkic states in the space field, promote regional innovation and scientific and technical partnership.The cooperation is focused on the creation of common technologies, investments in human capital and the peaceful use of space.
The strengthening cooperation within the TSO and the unity of the Turkic states in the space field reflect not only moral ties in the modern era, but also strategic interests. This cooperation not only increases the technological independence of the region, but also creates conditions for it to play a more active role in the international space agenda.
The following important issues are discussed within the framework of the meeting.This satellite initiative, which will be implemented within the framework of the TDT, will contribute to the fight against climate change by expanding the exchange of technical knowledge between member countries and monitoring greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane.This initiative, proposed by Azerbaijan, will facilitate the implementation of future joint projects by creating a common legal framework. The model to be implemented will be prepared in accordance with the UN international treaties on space.
This digital platform, which will be established with the participation of 21 leading universities, will create broader educational opportunities for young talents in the region and strengthen Azerbaijan's position as a center for space education and innovation in the future. Along with the presentation of the camp to be held in Turkey, the issue of implementing training on geographic information systems in TDT countries was also brought to the agenda.
