A trilateral cooperation mechanism will be established between the parliaments of Turkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
According to “EDnews,” citing "Anadolu", this agreement was reached during a meeting between the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, and his Georgian counterpart, Shalva Papuashvili, in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.
Kurtulmuş emphasized the need to take steps in this direction and also expressed that Turkiye is ready to host discussions on this matter.
The Turkish speaker also expressed support for Georgia’s territorial integrity, noting that the resolution of issues threatening Georgia’s territorial integrity would contribute to regional stability.
Kurtulmuş stated that they wish to continue the good relations between the governments at the parliamentary level and to utilize all the opportunities of parliamentary diplomacy to enhance these ties. He also expressed the desire to establish a Turkiye friendship group in the Georgian parliament.
