The leadership of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas has confirmed that Washington's ceasefire plan for the Gaza Strip suits them, the deputy foreign minister and special representative of the Russian president for the Middle East and African countries Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters, Ednews informs via TASS.
"Yesterday, the deputy chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau Mousa Abu Marzook called me from Türkiye and he said that this resolution, an American project, based on the proposals of US President Joe Biden is suitable for them," Bogdanov stated.
Among such sensitive points for Hamas, Bogdanov mentioned the withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip, a complete ceasefire, and the exchange of hostages with Palestinian prisoners.
Meanwhile, John Kirby, the US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, confirmed in an online briefing that the Washington administration had received andwas evaluating Hamas's response to proposals for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
