Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan have officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at integrating their energy systems. The agreement underscores a strategic move towards enhancing regional energy collaboration.

The scope of this cooperation, as highlighted by economist-expert Rashad Hasanov in a statement to Ednews, emphasizes collaboration in the realm of renewable green energy. Hasanov elucidates that the memorandum outlines plans for the construction of electricity transmission systems between the three countries. Notably, the project aims to facilitate the transfer of green energy generated in Azerbaijan to European markets, with the construction of transmission lines involving partner countries such as Georgia.

Hasanov emphasizes the necessity of integrating the electricity supply systems of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to enable the transfer of energy to other markets effectively. He underscores that while such projects are long-term endeavors, they hold significant promise for ensuring energy stability in emergency situations and expanding the region's alternative and green energy potential markets.
