Mohsen Rezaee, former IRGC commander and secretary of Tehran’s Expediency Council, compares the US forces blockading the Strait of Hormuz to “pirates” and threatens to turn the waterway into “a graveyard” of US aircraft carriers and troops.
“The U.S. is the only pirate in the world that possesses aircraft carriers. Our ability to confront pirates is no less than our ability to sink warships,” he said in a statement on X. “Prepare to face a graveyard of your carriers and forces, just as the wreckage of your aircraft was left behind in Isfahan,” he added, referring to last month’s downing of an F-15E plane.
