Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan has announced the possibility of stopping the broadcast of Russian TV channels in the country, EDnews reports, citing the Armenian media.
He was commenting on the opinions voiced on Russian TV channels regarding the events in Armenia.
"I believe that we should very seriously begin discussing the issue of stopping the broadcast of Russian TV channels in Armenia. This is detrimental to Armenian-Russian relations," he said.
"The programs of these mankurts have long been closed in our country, as well as their entry into the country. However, if their state channels allow themselves to interfere in the internal affairs of Armenia, maybe we should also close their access to the apartments of our citizens," Simonyan noted.
He called the Russian presenters 'degenerates' who are whipping up the atmosphere, negatively affecting Armenian-Russian relations.
Simonyan explained that all those who claim that the situation in Armenia affects relations with the Russian Federation 'clearly listen to their hosts, and all those who support the arrested Russian businessman of Armenian origin Samvel Karapetyan and call themselves his friends most likely received money from him in envelopes.'
