Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has welcomed the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, saying Kyiv hopes it will prompt Washington to renew efforts to end Russia’s invasion.
“In Ukraine, we also see this as momentum and an opportunity for the United States to reenergize peace efforts aimed at ending Russian aggression against Ukraine,” Sybiha said on X.
“American leadership is crucial to ending this war.”
Ukraine welcomes the U.S.-Iran deal and President Trump’s leadership in achieving it. We hope that this agreement forms a solid basis for a lasting peace in the region, guaranteed protection of life, and stabilization of the world economy.
