An official reception and concert program have been held at the Gulustan Palace on the occasion of the Professional Holiday of the Diplomatic Service Employees of Azerbaijan, EDnews reports, referring to the Foreign Ministry.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of diplomatic missions of the country, high-ranking representatives of a number of government agencies, MPs, as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan.

At the official ceremony, speeches were made by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, as well as the Dean of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country Mohamed Adil Embarch.

They congratulated the employees of the diplomatic services on their professional holiday and wished them success in their activities. The speeches emphasized the role of the diplomatic service employees in the implementation of the pragmatic foreign policy of Azerbaijan, in the promotion and protection of national interests at the international level.

The key foreign policy achievements, priorities of the country, and the contribution of the diplomatic corps to strengthening the international authority of Azerbaijan were also discussed. It was noted that the successful foreign policy conducted under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev imposes important tasks on the diplomatic service.

The official reception ended with a concert program.
