The US Department of Defense has entered into a contract with Lockheed Martin for the production of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) for a total of more than $861.3 million, Ednews informs.
“Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded an $861,333,188 firm-fixed-price contract for production of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and supporting services. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2026,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
The document also points out several other military agreements concluded by the US Department of Defense with private companies for the supply of parachutes, for the maintenance of equipment and the construction of a fish passage facility.
